About Me
My family, which includes my wife and two kids, moved to Tulsa in January 2025 to be near family. Our home (and my studio) is located in midtown Tulsa. We’ve enjoyed all the good food, parks, libraries, and music venues that Tulsa has to offer.
My belief that music is for everyone comes from my childhood in North Carolina. The consistent support from the music community instilled in me a passion for music, but also a desire to cultivate respectful, judgement-free teaching practices in and outside the classroom. Music is not only a creative outlet but builds lifelong skills—discipline, consistency, creativity, problem solving…to name a few.
I’m excited to create a welcoming, inclusive percussion studio in Tulsa for students of all ages and all levels of proficiency. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back music lesson for the neurodivergent student struggling to find their “thing,” a rigorous preparation for the advanced student aiming to build a career in music, or a meaningful creative outlet for an adult returning to music after years away — I look forward to working with you/your family to meet your needs.
